Self-sustainability

Each Ranch offers a unique opportunity to live in a self-sustainable community. In addition to the low impact, energy efficient cabin design, Eagle Ranch will feature a year round organic garden near the cabin sites.

Although the garden will be managed by a neighboring farmer, members will be encouraged to participate in tending the garden. Many vegetables are well suited for the soil and climate including asparagus, lima beans, green beans, beets, corn, cucumber, eggplant, lettuce, parsley, peanuts, peas, potatoes, pumpkin, squash, tomato, and watermelon.

Combined with the bountiful hunting and fishing opportunities at Eagle Ranch, it not hard to imagine living without visiting the grocery store 3 times per week as the average person does.

Eagle Ranch is also a safe place to retreat in case of an emergency situation or natural disaster. Plans include off-grid energy sources as well as water, food and medical resources for extended periods of time.
